Aragon, the great unknown

After a 4-hour bus ride from Madrid, we arrived in Zaragoza to start our second filming adventure. Zaragoza, also known as the “city of wind”, is the capital city of Aragon and the headquarters of the Spanish partner organisation, Fondo Natural, an environmental NGO engaged in nature conservation and environmental protection. During the next four days they will guide us into the wilderness of this unknown region in Northern Spain.

Aragon is a huge region, but it is very sparsely populated. Over 50% of its inhabitants live in Zaragoza, while the rest live in rural areas and small villages far away from the capital.

This is why this week we will cover long distances to get to know our young protagonists, who live and work in these areas, trying to empower the local communities through their commitment and bring out the potential of this less explored territories.
